Bridgetown Cemetery, located in Hamilton County, Ohio's Green Township, was established in 1864 as the First German Protestant Cemetery with seven and a half acres along Cleves Pike. This cemetery was, from the beginning, a community cemetery, a final resting place for many of the township citizens who could not spend the time traveling across the rough county roads by horse and wagon to one of the larger public cemeteries located closer to the city of Cincinnati.
