Autorenporträt
Ulrich Herbert is the chair for Modern History at the University of Freiburg and former Director of the School of History at the Freiburg Institute of Advanced Studies. He was awarded the Leibniz Prize of Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft in 1999 and has published numerous works on German and European history in the 20th century. He is the editor of the ten-volume book series European History in the 20th Century and the twenty-four volume Modern Times series.
