A Jester's Tear - Part Two: The Golden Son is the second book in an epic fantasy trilogy that tells the tale of a small group of travelers who must set out from the tiny kingdom of Aurnia in the frozen north, in search of the source of the plague which afflicts their once peaceful and happy home, and turns its people into something horrific and unnatural. There is Darragh, the Dark Prince from the south, who must seek out his old home of Cashel and learn what new evil is going on there that could affect his new home so far away in the north. The Princess Aurora joins him, leaving behind her ill father, and taking her first steps into adulthood, as she starts her journey on the the way to becoming a Queen. Her friend Milo accompanies them, a mute Jester who harbours a secret love for the Princess and a sadness in his heart, the kindest most gentlest of souls she has ever known. Also joining them are the Infidel Plastique and the mysterious blue-skinned warrior Shiel, one of the ancient race of Sheelians of the north, a mystery to all in the party and a possible threat. A Jester's Tear is a tale of love and loss, and the repercussions of allowing a broken heart and the absence of love to change one, and one's world, into a dark place, full of terrors and dangerous threats, ancient and powerful, and able to create one of the wildest, most emotional of journeys through strange and wonderful lands, where our travelers come into contact with the most fascinating creatures and characters, and see themselves change, and learn, and grow, as the events of eons come crashing down all around them in the most trying and historic of times.
