Margarete is a beautiful and talented rabbit. Sadly, she is also an arrogant, selfish snob. On her way to perform her world famous magic show, Margarete is involved in a serious accident and ends up in the hospital. When she eventually wakes, she finds herself surrounded by unsavory "country bumpkins." Of course, Margarete judges them immediately. She is much too famous and fancy for these folks. Then, something surprising happens: these loveable creatures begin melting Margarete's cold heart. A serious crisis occurs in the neighborhood, and Margarete knows she is the one to help. This jaw-dropping event in the quiet countryside brings shocking change and just might turn a bigheaded snob into a selfless hero.

Autorenporträt
ABOUT THE AUTHOR After a career change from a flight attendant, she spent 30 years as a busy Air Force pilot's wife continuing to travel much of the world. During these years they had three children. Many evenings she enjoyed taking courses in adult education. She enjoyed both her art and creative writing classes most. Her children inspired her to create some art for children. Today, several large assemblages hang in the children's room in the local library. Her creative writing classes, as well as her love of reading to her children, brought her love for writing children's books to life. She and her husband live in the beautiful town of Tryon, North Carolina, nestled in the foothills of the Blueridge Mountains. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Caelum Finn McCall is an illustrator and artist based out of North Carolina. His work mixes environmental concerns with the fantastical energy of imagined worlds (though sometimes he also just likes to draw animals). Caelum attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where he received his BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Arts Management.
