Autorenporträt
Taylor Hovish (she/her) decided in 1st grade that she wanted to be a teacher, and now she is! When she's not in the classroom or bugging her newfound donor siblings, you can usually find her on a California beach with her dog and very tall husband. Taylor Hovish (she/her) wanted to write the book she wished she had growing up as a donor conceived person. As a kid, she didn't know any other donor conceived people and she struggled to find the words to explain her origin story. The unique experience of finding and meeting siblings as a grownup inspired her to become more involved in the wider donor conceived community. She is a strong supporter of initiatives that protect the health and wellbeing of all future donor conceived people, such as verifying donor medical history and prohibiting donor anonymity. She hopes this book helps kids feel more understood and helps grownups feel more comfortable talking about this topic. If you'd like to share your own origin story, or just chat, you can email her at taylorhovish@gmail.com.
