A fan of superhero tales since early childhood, writer Daria H Brooks first dove into her tales of the aquatic heroes of Nereidia Pacifica by writing and illustrating a comic book, which inspired the novel, 'A Legacy of the Pacific.' Having become well-known for her essays on the classic TV series, 'Thunderbirds, '(c) TechTV featured her content for their 'Pop-Up Video'-styled version of the famous Gerry and Sylvia Anderson series. Ms. Brooks' fanciful 'autobiographies' of the Tracy brothers later appeared on the A&E Home Video DVD, 'The Best of Thunderbirds.'Daria holds an AA in General Studies/Humanity and a BA in Comparative World Literature with a Minor in Film and Electronic Media. A California native, she is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, is a decades-long sustaining member of Comic-Con International San Diego and also a charter member of the Comic--Con Museum. 'A Legacy of the Pacific' inspired two follow-up tales for middle grade readers: 'Pincin, Prince of the Pacific'(TM) and 'Pincin and the Blue Whales.'(TM) In 2024, 30 years after its inception, the heroes of Nereidia have finally returned to their origins in the release of the comic book, 'Pincin and A Legacy of the Pacific: The Illustrated Chronicles, ' a colorful new series from Roisin Dubh Books, written, illustrated and colored by Ms. Brooks.
