This book is based on a research project carried out by the author as part of her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at International Maritime Law Institute in Malta.

Ms. Jihadha Anees is a lawyer based in the Maldives. She practiced law, at the Attorney General¿s Office and Prosecutor General¿s Office of the Maldives. She works extensively in matters involving criminal offences. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Prosecutor General at the Prosecutor General¿s Office of the Maldives.
