The perspective, often cynical and coldly realistic, is far from the sentimental approach that television (un)culture has accustomed us to. In this reissue of the novel, the author includes an Appendix featuring the piece he submitted to the "Florence Nightingale" literary competition, organized in 2020 by the Order of Nursing Professions in Terni, which earned him a Special Mention from the jury. With this addition, the author completes a cycle of reflection and introspection, enriched by the decade of life experiences that separate the two editions.
