Autorenporträt
About the Author: David T. Shoemaker describes himself as a Poet, Artist, Philomath, and Endomorph. He was first exposed to the craft of writing poetry in a 5th Grade Poetry Workshop for advanced English students. He has been called an "Historian Poet" for his tendency to weave history, archaeology, and folklore into bardic verse. His poems are included in the "Timeless Voices" (2006) and "Forever Spoken" (2007) anthologies edited by Howard Ely. In 2017, he released the CD "Bardsongs" which featured him reading his poetry. He is currently working on developing a series of walking tours in Lancaster PA based on the life and works of Charles Demuth, an early 20th century American artist who helped introduce modernist principles to American Art, founded the Precisionist Movement, and influenced such diverse artists as Georgia O'Keeffe, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, and Robert Indiana.
