The emergence and development of humanity led to the accumulation of knowledge, skills and practices that were transmitted from generation to generation, and that with the passing of time led to the emergence of sciences that have been concerned with maintaining the health of man, including medicine and nursing. In each stage of the development of society, changes have been taking place in the living and working conditions of the people, derived from the different social and production relations, which have a direct influence on medical care and the state of health of society. When approaching one of the facets of health as it is that of the curative actions and the people associated with them, it is observed that nursing has occupied an important place in the development of the health sciences.
