This book reviews the causes of illness and offers solutions toward providing good health care in an effective and affordable way. This book suggests an alternative model of medical education and practice, detailing a medical system that is inexpensive and effective based on the combination of present medical treatment and alternative medicine together, providing a genuinely individual approach to each patient. Within my book, there is a critique of popular, erroneous ideas about what are healthy foods and drinks, including the myth of low-fat foods and semiskimmed milk and the issue of obesity. It also discusses the National Health Service and its inevitable collapse, according to economic laws. The medical treatment now widely offered does not produce good health but rather the reverse. Evidence of this is given with a researched critique of the present drug-industry-led medical treatment, including facts on the withdrawal of unsafe drugs and the failure of regulation.Hinweis: Dieser Artikel kann nur an eine deutsche Lieferadresse ausgeliefert werden.
Ernest has had twenty-four year's experience in homoeopathic practice, having started his training in the 1970s with Dr. Thomas Maughan and then at the College of Homoeopathy in London, graduating in 1983. He founded the highly regarded North West College of Homoeopathy in 1984, drawing on previous experiences as a lecturer in adult education to establish a successful college. His background includes an economics degree from Owens College, Manchester University, lecturing for eight years at the then Thames Polytechnic in Greenwich, London. Leaving economics, he founded the Kidbrooke House Yoga School in Blackheath, London, and directed this with great success for ten years. During this time he also worked with yoga therapy, using all the eight limbs of yoga and including as part of this the biochemic tissue salt therapeutics of Dr. Schuessler. Although he found yoga therapy effective with most patients, there remained some more seriously ill clients who responded only to homoeopathy on referral, which led him on to his extensive study and practice of homoeopathy. During my years in London, my interest in esoteric studies deepened, and I became a companion of the Druid Order. From 1973 to 1983, I attended meditation groups, study groups, and other activities in the order. My esoteric studies include the classical Hindu texts, the Chakra system from both the Eastern and Western teachings, Zen Macrobiotics, the Qabalah, and of course, the principles and practice of yoga.
