In the novel and in real life, I'm supposed to convince the pope to consecrate Russia as requested in 1917 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Moscow (not in the Vatican). The consecration is to be done to avoid a nuclear holocaust. It is also a love story. Most people think they are the hero of their life story but as in the novel and in real life, my wife is the hero of my life story.

The author grew up in Brooklyn, NY, went to medical school in Manhattan and did an internship and residency at Kings County Hospital/Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY. He did a fellowship in Pulmonary at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard. I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary. However, always a Brooklyn boy.
