A professor of English and philosophy at Stanford University from 1906 to 1936, she wrote five well-received books and dozens of articles in addition to teaching and mentoring thousands of students. Nancy J. Parezo is a professor emerita of American Indian studies at the University of Arizona. In addition to teaching at the institution for almost forty years, she was curator of ethnology at the Arizona State Museum. Don D.
