Fingering charts for the individual categories of historical clarinet instruments are presented graphically, as is customary today. Finger exercises and studies are specially developed and designed to the fingering problems of historical instruments. Information and tips from practice are intended to be a guide for those interested and to help answering questions. A repertoire excerpt and references to further specialist literature are intended to stimulate the deepening of already acquired knowledge.
Autorenporträt
Evgeni Orkin was born in 1977 in the Ukraine. After studying clarinet, composition and conducting at the conservatories in Kiev, Utrecht and Mannheim, he has been teaching at the Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts since 2004. Participation as musician, composer and conductor in numerous music festivals. His passion for discovering and preserving original instruments and presenting their sound in period works is documented on several CDs.
