Being the child of an Islamic West African immigrant and an American mother born in the Bible Belt, Farida Ibrahim-Sani has led a life marked by complex layers of culture that echo throughout her first literary work. As an emerging novelist, Ibrahim-Sani seeks strength by unraveling her existence through tales inspired by her own experiences that shed light on her unique history. She currently lives in New York City.
