This book presents a morphology of the Ngamo language -a member of West Chadic 'A' branch of Chadic language family of the Afroasiatic phylum- spoken in some areas of Darazo, Dukku, Nafa a, Gulani, Fika and Fune Local Governments of Bauchi, Gombe and Yobe States, North-Eastern Nigeria. The book is divided into nine different chapters. The book reveals about the ways used for plural formations in Ngamo nominal, morphophonological rules of tone polarity in the words derived forms and zero derivation formations. The book also describes the pronouns in respect of gender and number. It reveals the personal names derived based on days of the week, other times, birth sequence, titles, occupation, kin terms, physical features, ethnicity and place of origin. The book describes the components of Ngamo polymorphemic compound words and reduplication which categorized into two major types namely; complete and partial reduplication. It also analyses the uses of prefixation and suffixation as formatives and the uses of suppletion, clipping, zero derivation and hypocorism in Ngamo personal names formation. Finally, the book presents appendices of Ngamo onomastics, toponyms on the hills and ground.

Dr. Hassan Usman Gadaka is an indigene of Gadaka town, Fika Local Government, Yobe State - Nigeria. He is presently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Hausa, Umar Suleiman College of Education Gashua, Yobe State. He is currently a member of Interim National Executive Committee of the Hausa Studies Association of Nigeria.
