Alma M. Vasquez's love of writing began when she was a child who preferred to spend school recess in the library. As an adult, she chose to pursue social justice, becoming an attorney rather than an author, but one day, as she sat in a courtroom waiting for a hearing to begin, she jotted down the opening lines of the story that would become her first published novel. Now both an author and an attorney, Alma lives in beautiful Washington State, where she was born and raised. In her fiction, she enjoys creating worlds in which justice prevails, and her stories often feature diverse characters who defy expectations. When she isn't combating injustice, she likes taking long walks and tackling home improvement projects with her family.
