Autorenporträt
Connie Olson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Her motivation for writing this book is a desire to share a delightful, mostly true story about her childhood pets, Spot, a black and white beagle, and a duck named Donald. She has incorporated basic, character building values into this story. Connie (nick-named Corky), Spot, and Donald grew up together on the banks of Lake Catherine in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She and her family attended church, and she has been a Christian since the age of twelve. Connie and her husband, Andy, celebrate fifty years of marriage and have twin daughters, who are both professors at colleges in Florida. Connie and Andy are currently living on Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs with their English Bulldog, Jake.Amy Hornsby earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. For the past 36 years, she has taught art to children at all levels, and the majority of her experience is teaching High School students. Art has always been her expertise, but sharing her love for Jesus Christ with the younger generation has been her calling. Amy and her husband, John, have been married for 35 years. For the past 29 years, they have been living on their cattle farm in Okolona, Arkansas where they raised their son and daughter. John and Amy considered farm life to be a blessing and an enriched way to have raised their children. Amy believes that there is so much for children to learn from caring for animals. When her children were given that responsibility, she saw how much they grew. Now, John and Amy enjoy watching their grandchildren experience the same farm fun.
