Akhverdiyev Akhverdi Tatriverdi oglu-Nascido em 1939 na aldeia do distrito de Tauz do Azerbaijão. Tem um doutoramento em ciências da terra. É um dos principais investigadores do Instituto de Geologia e Geofísica da Academia Nacional de Ciências do Azerbaijão. As suas actividades científicas estão relacionadas com o estudo do Cáucaso Menor, em particular a vulcanologia e a tectónica.
