Carin Jayne Casey, the oldest of several children, grew up in a dysfunctional, sometimes violent home. Her family had moved from Ohio to rural West Virginia while she was a teen when tragedy struck their family. Casey married her high-school sweetheart and bore two wonderful children. Her marriage failed, and she was eventually lured into a violent and life-threatening relationship.¿Casey strives to educate and encourage people to conquer life challenges. As she recovered from domestic violence, her gratitude toward the Lord motivated her to write books and to provide podcasts for others to gain tools in their overcoming process, to find victory, and enjoy life. ¿Casey served four years on the Board of Directors for Yeshua's House (www.yeshuashouse.net), a faith-based, non-profit safe-haven for women overcoming domestic violence and/or financial issues. She currently participates in various outreach and mission efforts with local church groups.¿Casey graduated from Radford University and served the Commonwealth of Virginia for 31 years.
