Autorenporträt

Joseph Petteruti is a native of Providence, Rhode Island, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Brown University. He retired from a career in banking in New York, Boston, and Providence. He has been writing memoirs about his family members for ten years. His grandmother Bertha Mulvihill Noon ("Nana Noon") emigrated from her native Ireland to Providence in the early 1900s and returned to Ireland for a vacation. She sailed back to the U.S. in 1912 on the ill-fated RMS Titanic. This is Joe's first published book. He wrote it for his two wonderful grandchildren, Kate and Benjamin, so they would always know the bravery and adventurous nature of their great-great-grandmother.
