Then the requirement for additive damping could be eliminated and TMD can be used in full efficiency.

Ali Bozer was born in 1977, in Istanbul, Turkey. He grad. from the Civil Engineering Department of Y¿ld¿z Technical University in 1999 and he got his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Bogaziçi University. Currently, author works as Asst. Prof. at Nuh Naci Yazgan University. His major areas of interests are earthquake engineering and structural control.
