Patty Spence is a native of San Antonio, Texas. She received a Bachelor's in Psychology at Saint Mary's University followed by a Master's from Corpus Christi State University (Texas A and M University Corpus Christi). She is a licensed professional counselor with 38 years of experience in the mental health field and recently retired, after teaching American Literature for 21 years. She has three grown children, and as an empty-nester, resides on the bay's edge of Corpus Christi, Texas, with her husband.
