In the present study, it has been shown that the Cucurbita pepo seed oil improved the anaemic condition of the treated animals (Groups III and IV) when compared with the phenyl hydrazine induced animals (Group II). It shows that Cucurbita pepo seed oil contains important phytochemical constituents which if used in recommended doses could be beneficial to mankind. Further investigation may support the exact mechanism for anti anaemic activity.
