Alan C. Huffines is a fifth-generation Texan, Persian Gulf War veteran, and active duty combat arms officer. He holds both a B.A. and an M.A. in history and has been published in Military Collector and Historian and The Journal of the Alamo Battlefield Association. Huffines is a member of the Company of Military Historians, Texas State Historical Association, the Alamo Society, National Guard Association of Texas, National Infantry Association (Lone Star Chapter) and is a charter board member of the Alamo Battlefield Association.
