Maghan Keita, Ph.D. (1988) in African Studies, Howard University, is Professor of History at Villanova University. His most recent works include Conceptualizing/Re-conceptualizing Africa, (Brill 2002) and Race and the Writing of History: Riddling the Sphinx (Oxford 2000).
