In this book Jan Dobrzynski and Keith Turner take the reader on a journey in words and pictures through the five counties transversed by the Avon, from Naseby in Northamptonshire to Tewkesbury in Gloucestershire, using postcards drawn from their collections. Along the way we visit towns including Warwick, Stratford, Evesham, Pershore, and Tewkesbury, as well as the villages of Fladbury, Cropthorne, and Eckington, among many others. On the journey we encounter locks, ferries, and mills, many of which have long gone.
