A Pragmatic Analysis of the Use of English Language in Selected Billboard Adverts in Nigeria is born out of Kolade's desire to transform and develop the Nigerian Advertising sector. Kolade is of the view that some advertisers carelessly or lazily come up with some weird advertising ideas and contents which ought to be properly inspected, evaluated, analyzed and equally appreciated before pushing them out for public view.In this study, ten textual samples are analyzed using the pragmasociolinguistic concept; a concept which examines the pragmatic, social and linguistic contexts with generated advertisers' choice of linguistic elements.
