Diane Miles Griffin is a retired schoolteacher. She has taught for thirty years and has been a substitute teacher for several years since her retirement. She lives in Smiths Station, Alabama where she has taught most of her teaching career. She is married and has one son. He and his wife have one daughter, Journey Nichole Miles. Journey is Mrs. Griffin's first granddaughter. When she is not substituting for local schools, she spends her days crafting and taking care of her granddaughter. She enjoys writing books for children. This has become one of her favorite pastimes. She plans to include Journey in some of her stories as she grows through the years, as well as other children in her life.
