Experts have been working towards technologies for the Semantic Web especially for the construction and execution of support knowledge-based applications. Although the introduction of ontologies and taxonomies provide enough context for search, however no one single ontology can sufficiently support and contain all definitions of a domian of knowledge. This book highlights how ontology mediation can be used to map accross different knowledge domains thus resolving all challenges for data sharing. A process methodology and framework coupled with business rules are introduced in this book which will be definately useful for ontologists or students who are considering to work or are already working in this area currently.
Autorenporträt
Dr. Muthaiyah is an Associate Professor at Multimedia University Malaysia. Prior to academia he worked for IBM World Trade Corporation. He is a Fulbright Scholar and Fellow. He holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University, USA among other degrees in Accounting and Finance. His research focus is mainly on Web 4.0 technology.
