Produktbeschreibung
Environmental issues are considered one of the most important issues on both national and international levels, especially now since the world has realized that such issues are a challenge to mankind's prosperity and even existence. "Environment" means all elements surrounding us including the air, earth, water, living creatures, the antiquities (that are part of the world culture heritage), and even the human beings that reside in and amongst these elements. Although a pristine environment is an important requirement for the success of any tourist activity (either for hotel, restaurant, or recreational venture), poor environment planning and inefficient use of natural resources may cause damage to the hosting environment, and as a result, cause a negative economic impact on tourism. Governments and Tourism suppliers are now paying more attention to the environment, as sustainable environmental practices in the long term save money, and at the same time, the demand for environmentally friendly tourism is on the increase. Eco-labels have emerged and are helping Tourism reduce its impact on the environment and are certifying them as environmentally sustainable.
