Mike Smith has been married to Susan Springer Smith for forty-two years. They have two children, Martha Elaine Gardner and Lance Curtis Smith. They have five grandchildren, William, Emma, and Jacob Gardner, and Logan and Landon Smith. They also count as their children son-in-law, James Gardner and daughter-in-law, Ashley Smith. Mike has served as pastor, church planter, Director of Missions, State Convention staff member, and presently, President of Jacksonville College. His previous book, Conflict: Causes and Cures, is in its second printing and has sold over 2,000 copies. He also teaches Old and New Testament Survey courses at Jacksonville College. He starts each class day with a devotional from Proverbs and prayer. What better way to start the day!
