Education, the expressions of the social question and social work are rooted in society and in schools. Children and adolescents have rights guaranteed by specific laws, such as the LDB, ECA and the 1988 Federal Constitution. However, these rights are not always guaranteed, because the expressions of the social question affect the educational field in the current context, such as: school drop-outs, low school performance, behavioural problems, with aggressive attitudes, lack of limits, interfering in the functioning of the school. These are highly complex issues that require joint action and intervention by different professionals: educators, social workers, psychologists, the Guardianship Council, the Public Prosecutor's Office and, above all, families. For all these reasons, social work must be integrated into the school environment. Their professional work will be able to identify social, cultural and economic factors linked to the expressions of the social question that affects society.
