Afrikaner by blood, American by citizenship, and Texan by heart, Elmarie Meintjes has explored the world. Having been born and raised in South Africa, Elmarie attended veterinary school in Pretoria, where she met her husband, Marius. Soon after graduation, the pair set out to seek new adventure abroad. Landing in Cajun country, Elmarie completed an internship and pursued a postgraduate degree at Louisiana State University, while Marius completed his Ph.D. Years later, she and her growing family finally settled just outside of Dallas. Here she home schooled her three boys, taught science and Bible classes, and spearheaded several community projects. The intersection of science and biblical truths has long held Elmarie's fascination. Today, this fascination with the created world has continued to inspire her to write and pursue truth in the field of science and medical studies.
