To develop land and to confer any kind of strategy for any country, city or region, the socio-economic factors are very important aspects. Without considering this criterion any kind of Land Development strategy will be vague. So, in land development strategy, the socio-economic criterion plays an imperative role. For Dhaka City, Dhaka Metropolitan Development Plan (DMDP) play an imperative role in land development practice which recognizes new land development, on a scale and a rate that will ease pressure on the existing urban area, requires the adaptation of fundamental policy changes and the adaptation of new approaches, techniques and mechanisms in public and private sector land development initiatives. DMDP also consider socio-economic sector to make the policies more viable.
