A must for those interested in a contemporary view of the world through the eyes of a poet, these poems offer a straightforward account about life, love and politics. The book succeeds to an unusual degree in revealing the world of ordinary people and common emotions. The author is a very thoughtful young man who grew up in many different countries and learned to see the world with an intense realism and tolerance, concepts that are reflected throughout his poetry. The poems focus on people and places, inward and outward reflections, and contemporary politics in an integrated and evolving world. Many of the feelings reflected here will be understood by readers from around the globe and although some of the scenes might be unique, the readers will find themselves tasting and smelling places they have never visited outside of these pages. Highly recommended for its human insight into contemporary life.
