Mackenzie Webel started writing poetry in high school, and as a young poet he strives to reach readers who are facing love and loss by writing about his own life experiences. His themes range from bright and beautiful to dark and gloomy, and his work is rooted in artistic self-expression. He currently lives in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, with his brother and their pets, Pablo the cat and a Dalmatian named Bean. A Riddle to Ruin is his first book.
