Lieutenant Colonel Larry K. Cole entered active service from the Texas National Guard in 1963 with subsequent assignments in Germany, Fort Polk, Vietnam, Fort Knox, Fort Hood, Korea, the Pentagon, and Fort Stewart. He retired after thirty years total service.
