Autorenporträt
Roger Riccard, though born and raised in the USA, has Scottish roots, which trace his lineage back to the Rose clan of the Highlands in Scotland. This British Isles ancestry encouraged his interest in the writings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and C.S. Lewis. He is now the author of over fifty stories featuring mysteries with the 'World's First Consulting Detective'. However, once upon a time, he took up biblical studies at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL and earned certifications to teach both Old and New Testament Adult Bible Studies. In studying what one might term 'the mysteries of religion', he found that the Book of James appealed to him most as being a practical guide to living the Christian life. His admiration for C.S. Lewis' work, The Screwtape Letters, prompted him to put that concept into use for a biblical study of this New Testament letter. He is also a graduate of California State University, Northridge with Bachelor of Arts degrees in both History and Journalism. He currently resides in a suburb of Los Angeles, CA where he busies himself reading and writing mysteries and singing with a group which entertains senior citizens at retirement homes.
