The "Short narrative" was prepared, accepted at a town meeting held March 19, and ordered immediately printed. "By the Honourable Thomas Hutchinson, Esq: lieutenant-governor ... I do hereby certify, that Richard Dana and John Ruddock, Esquires, are two of His Majesty's justices of the peace ... Three original certificates of the foregoing tenor ... are signed by the lieutenant-governor, and annexed to three printed copies of this pamphlet.
