John White had impressive stats and won countless championships as a high school and university baseball player, and later as a fastpitch softball player, including MVP awards and inclusion in two halls of fame. John is a 5th generation resident of the Rogue River Valley in Southern Oregon, whose family has lived there since 1851. He has coached local high school teams for the past 41 years, including baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, ASA Girls Softball, American Legion, and Babe Ruth baseball, winning two state championships and one runner-up. He also coached at a year-round baseball school sponsored by the Oakland A's affiliate team. He was named the 2009 Class 3A Baseball Oregonian Coach of the Year. John has three children and two grandchildren.
