Autorenporträt
Helen Ratcliff has a natural artistic flair and love of the natural world. She was given her first camera as a young teenager, which replaced her sketch book and paintbrush. She began her career as a photographer's assistant, where she learned the basic techniques of photography. Later, she found new experiences while working for HandMade Films, English National Ballet and The Conran Shop...to mention a few. Helen has not married or had children but has followed a passage through time, studying big cats, creative writing, creating a blog and raising awareness for wildlife and conservation welfare. Five years ago, she began a journey along River Thames to work each day. Every morning, Helen walked to work from Wandsworth Bridge to Albert Bridge. Then A Slice of River was born...
