I was born on Sept. 23,1951 in St. Cloud, Mn. I was raised in Waite Park, Mn. which is basically a suburb of St. Cloud. Although I had only two older sisters, I was blessed to have a neighborhood filled with an abundance of crazy and fun boys. I attended St. Joseph's Catholic Grade School in Waite Park, and Cathedral High School in St. Cloud. After graduation I joined the U.S. Army, serving a total of six years between the Army and the National Guard. I worked for Fingerhut Manufacturing and the Burlington Northern Railroad, before settling on a 32 year career as a Correctional Officer at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in St. Cloud. I married my JoAnn in 1983. She has been very instrumental in keeping me on track with my writing and doing a lot of proof reading.I have three step-children, two grand daughters and frour great grand daughters. I have been a history buff my entire life, with World War Two, Korea and Vietnam being my true loves. I began reading and collecting books on these wars at a young age, building a library that is now close to 800 books. Although I have spoken to many Veterans of these wars, my most exciting interview was with Alfons Heck, A former German General from World War Two. Today I am retired and love to travel with my wife JoAnn. We love to travel to historical sites of all types. I hope to publish two more books in this collection.
