In the beginning, NGOs worked mainly in welfare spheres like health and education but in recent times, they have taken up economic and empowerment programmes. Particular mention of the work of voluntary organizations like Andhra Adimajati Sevak Sangh among Yanadis of Nellore District. Besides these organizations which are large and have been functioning for many decades, scores of small NGOs have made their beginning among these two tribes and it is just impossible to describe the activities of these tiny NGOs at a stretch. However, it is possible to deal with the work of the three organizations briefly in one or two paragraphs. Adimajati Sangh established in Andhra Pradesh, Nellore as headquarters by V.
