Jamie Breyer hasn't worked since the day he scattered all the law books from his shelves and replaced them with the literature he once loved. The firm which leases him the little office is afraid to kick him out, or so Jamie thinks. So he shows up from time to time, ignoring the glare from the receptionist. But today she's gone too far. There's a client, an old man she must have let in, sitting in the chair in front of Jamie's desk, holding a plain manila folder, with an all too familiar vacant look in his eyes.
