The work makes a tentative study on the translation of foregounded language in Hongaoliang Jiazu. The author draws the conclusion that to translate foregrounded language in novels, translators should pay adequate attention to the foregrounding effect of the original text, and give priority to reproducing the foregrounding effect as much as possible. However, due to the differences between languages and cultures, translators often have to make adjustments in order to convey both the original information and foregrounding effect.
