The present study deals with the "Age, Growth and Harvestable size of Catla catla (Ham.) from Lake Pichhola, Udaipur, Rajasthan". The present study deals with the "Age, Growth and Harvestable size of Catla catla (Ham.) from Lake Pichhola, Udaipur, Rajasthan". The outcome of the present study the fish fauna of lake Pichhola in all 20 fishes species representing 7 families have been recorded from this lake. Scale studies in the Catla catla revealed that at the most 9 annuli were evident in the commercial catch at Pichhola Lake. Based on the studies of scale back calculation, important growth parameter was ascertained which indicated that the species had different growth parameters during the growth period. Further, from the back calculation length of Catla catla the harvestable size of 42.50 cm was inferred. The study in suggesting that the size of Catla catla is suitable to catch for sustainable exploitation of the species.

Il a publié plusieurs articles de recherche sur l'âge, la croissance et la récolte des poissons. Il a également une expérience de recherche dans le cadre d'un poste de S.R.F. à l'ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Veraval.
