The book describes about the ecology and behavioural patterns of two commonly observed birds in the wetlands of Kerala. The little egret (Egretta garzetta) is one among the widely distributed birds in the paddy fields and wetlands of Kerala and other parts of India. Besides, the pon heron (Ardeola grayii) is also a co-existing bird in these similar habitats. They possess several similar characteristics in terms of their behaviour and ecology. This book is an overall view of the behavioural and ecological peculiarities of two birds.
