It ain't just the devil in the details, God can show up big in them as well. Personally, I have lost track at the number of sermons and or points for a sermon I have gleaned from some trivial detail coming out of left field at me. For the student of the Bible these are where the good stuff tends to lurk, needing only the discerning eye to see it. I look forward to you coming along on this survey of the book of Nehemiah with me, I hope you do as well. One thing I have noticed about the book of Nehemiah is that this book of the Bible is not just about rebuilding a wall that had fallen. There was a people who needed to be restored, a city that needed to be raised from the ashes of failure, and an example to be given for our modern churches that need to be rebuilt.
