Autorenporträt
Prof. Mika Sillanpää is the head of the laboratory of Green Chemistry at the Lappeenranta University of Technology. He has 20 years of expertise in green chemistry, analytical chemistry and environmental engineering. More specifically, he has worked extensively with adsorption, photocatalysis, advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), as well as electrochemical technologies and various chromatographic methods.  Prof. Sillanpää has published several books and over 600 articles in reputable journals and international conference proceedings and is engaged in synergistic collaboration with over 50 research partners from the world's leading laboratories in six continents.  Dr. Mohamed Chaker Ncibi received his PhD in Environmental Engineering in 2008 from the University of Sousse (Tunisia). He worked as a visiting postdoctoral researcher in the Universities of Montpellier (UM2, France), Antilles and Guyane (UAG, Guadeloupe), Braunschweig (TU-BS, Germany). Since 2013, he is a senior researcher in the laboratory of Green Chemistry at the Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT, Finland). Dr. Ncibi has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles and co-edited a book in the Royal Society of Chemistry series of Green Chemistry entitled "Biomass for Sustainable Applications: Pollution Remediation and Energy".
